Definition
The process by which an organism **brings forth (enacts) a meaningful world through its embodied, goal-directed interactions with its environment**. Enaction is recursive activity in the service of a norm, the recursive satisfaction of a norm.
Enaction is the view that cognition arises through **dynamic, reciprocal coupling between organism and environment, such that perception, action, and meaning are co-constituted in ongoing activity.
